Drivers have different levels of experience when it comes to electric cars. By giving them the information they need, you can help them enjoy their rental and take good care of your car.
Adding the range of your car to the car description will help drivers plan their trip. Try to be as realistic as possible. You could mention that driving uphill or fast on a motorway will use more battery than driving around a city. And that outside temperature will make a difference.
Explain how to plug and unplug your car.
Describe how to know if your car is charging or not.
Say where available charging stations are in your area.
If your car should be picked up and returned to a reserved parking space with a charger, you can explain this in Your cars > Access & return instructions.
How your charger works might not be obvious to drivers. Give them step-by-step instructions to help them charge your car. You should add these to your car’s return instructions.
We will inform drivers that they need to start charging the car when they return it. If the driver has any difficulties charging the car, they’ll be able to report the issue. You will receive an alert with the details they’ve given about the problem.
If the car isn’t charging and the driver hasn’t reported any issues, you can request compensation. You can do this up to 48 hours after a finished rental. You’ll receive 25$ if we can determine that the car wasn’t charging and the driver didn’t report any problems. When the rental has ended, go to “Car wasn’t charging at the end of the rental” on the rental page to make your request.
You can set a charging time for your car in Your cars > Your conditions. Setting a charging time will create a period between each rental to allow your car to charge.
