What insurance conditions must be respected?

The driver must comply with certain conditions for the driver to be insured. The conditions are the following:

To book and drive a car on Getaround, the driver must be over 19 (22 years old in the LA-OC market) with no major violations or alcohol/drug-related incidents in the past three/seven years. Additional restrictions apply for drivers under the age of 25.

Basic Eligibility

In order to book and drive, the following conditions apply:

• The driver must be at least 19 years old.
• The minimum age required to book a car on our platform for trips in the Los Angeles / Orange County area is 22 years old.
• Have no major violations or alcohol-related incidents in the past three years and no major drug-related incidents in the past seven years.
• Have no more than two violations or accidents combined in the past three years.
• Drivers under age 21 must have a clean driving record (no violations or accidents in the last three years)
• International drivers as well as drivers from HI, AK, and Canada must be at least 25 years old.
• Drivers with a US driver's license are required to submit to our profile verification the first time they book.
